DuPont State Forest is full of beautiful trails for hiking and biking. Uniquely, it also has an airplane airstrip. During a fun day of riding with family and friends, we came upon the airstrip, which is actually pretty fun to ride a bike on! At the end of the strip is an epic view of Mt. Pisgah. We were there on a beautiful clear day and this painting was inspired by that. I sold the original painting to an Asheville local and mountain biker. It was a favorite painting for a while and I’m pleased with how the prints turned out!
